An instant messaging application to keep in touch with family and friends

LINE is a freeware instant messaging application that enables you to keep in touch with friends and family. You can send free text messages, can start group chats, share videos, photos, voice messages and contacts. You can send unlimited messages and can make unlimited calls as there is no limit on messages and calls. This application is available throughout all major platforms like Windows, mobile and Mac and it’s this version is desktop edition. The desktop edition was launched, in February 2014, for those users who prefer to classical IM software.

You have to sign up in LINE to access instant messaging. It has two options to log in, namely, Login and QR Code Login. In ‘Login’ option you have to simply enter your email address, and if using ‘QR Code Login’ you has to scan a barcode generated at desktop application by mobile, to facilitate successful authentication. There are three tabs to give you access to your contact list, add new friends and shows your current conversations. You can start conversation on your phone and can be continued later on your PC.

LINE has more than 10,000 stickers and emoticons using which you can express your feelings. Stickers are available in free as well as you can download stickers as gifts. Every week new stickers are released in this app. Your conversation in this app is displayed in green bubble, which is innovative, and you can save the chats as well. It provides you many features like option to hide friends list or block users; real-time confirmation of messages sent and delivered; pop-out message box when you received new message; can add friends by QR code and many more.
